Claude Swap Status: Claude Code usage and account switching in your status bar
If you use more than one Claude account, it's easy to lose track of how much of each one's limits you've used. Claude Swap Status puts your Claude Code usage in the status bar of Antigravity or VS Code, and lets you switch accounts with one click.
It's a small visual add-on for claude-swap by realiti4, which does the real account and usage work, so it needs claude-swap installed. It's an unofficial add-on, not made by or affiliated with the author of claude-swap or with Anthropic.
What it shows#
👤 Claude 1: work | 5h: █░░░░ 25% R:3h12m | 7d: █░░░░ 16% R:1d4h
- 5h is your 5-hour usage limit, and 7d is your 7-day limit.
- R: is how long until that limit resets, such as
45m,3h12mor1d4h. - Hover over it to see the account email, its status and the exact reset times.
The status bar turns yellow at 70% and red at 85%, so you notice before you run out.
Click it to see all your accounts with their usage, then pick one to switch to. Add New Account... at the bottom of the list opens a terminal that walks you through logging in.
Step 1: Install claude-swap first#
The extension does nothing on its own: it only shows what the cswap tool reports. Without it, the status bar shows Claude: cswap error.
-
Install the
claude-swapcommand line tool:uv tool install claude-swap # or pipx install claude-swap -
Add at least one Claude account:
cswap add -
Check that it works:
cswap list --jsonYou should see your accounts. If you get
command not found, close and reopen your terminal, then try again.
Step 2: Install the extension#
- Antigravity: Claude Swap Status on Open VSX, the extension store Antigravity uses
- VS Code: Claude Swap Status on the Visual Studio Marketplace
Or open the Extensions panel in your editor, search for Claude Swap Status and click Install. Updates then install automatically.
To install from a file instead, download the latest .vsix from the Releases page, open the Extensions panel, choose Install from VSIX... from the ... menu, and pick the file.
The status bar item appears once the editor finishes starting up.
